How to read the result
Removed lines are shaded red on the left and added lines green on the right. When a line was edited rather than replaced, the exact words that changed are highlighted inside it. Switch to “Characters” to highlight single-letter changes such as typos and punctuation.
Split and unified views
Split view shows the two versions side by side, which is easiest to read on a wide screen. Unified view lists removals and additions in one column, like a code review, and works better on phones. “Download .diff” saves the changes as a standard patch file that tools like Git understand.
Private by design
Many online diff tools upload your text to their servers so they can save or share it. Wordformat compares everything inside your browser, so contracts, code, and drafts never leave your device.
